Viewers’ Choice Month

tumblr_mcrh829xbj1qd2msyThe second annual Viewers’ Choice Month is here! This is your chance to tell Al, Tony, and possibly some of our friends, what to review. Last year we had to watch Hairspray, Glen or Glenda, Candyman, and American Werewolf in London.

What we need from you is to go into the comments below and nominate up to three movies. Halfway through the month we will make a list and allow all of you to have four votes. We have four Fridays to fill and we want to see what rises to the top.

We’ll watch almost anything you nominate unless we have reviewed it before or it is above an R rating. You can be cruel and nominate musicals, or you can put up movies you would actually like to hear us review.

(Editor’s note: please be cruel)

  1. Y’all know we’ve been waiting for this. I’m going to get the ball rolling with…

    Pippi on the Run
    The Rocky Horror Picture Show
    Moulin Rouge

  2. I also vote for Rocky Horror
    Cannibal Holocaust
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
    Galaxy of Terror
    Alien 3
The Ewok Adventure (Caravan of Courage) and Battle for Endor
    Ready to Rumble

  3. Donald already mentioned Shadow of the Vampire, and Jen covered Rocky and Moulin Rouge…so…

    1: Suspiria
2: Pitch Perfect. Because I like and respect Mr. Southcotte, but making him watch musicals is funny. Even though technically this isn’t a musical.
3: Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid.

  4. 1. What Lies Beneath
    2. Transylvania 6-5000
    3. To Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar

I think I’ve been fair, a little bit of everything. Let’s get to voting!

  5. God this is better than Christmas.

Okay, I’ve been debating this forever, and then I held off on nominating for awhile to see if any of my major picks were put up by someone else (Glad to see Rocky Horror getting a strong showing). So here we go:

    1. Mamma Mia
    2. Priscilla Queen of the Desert
    3. Highlander 2

    • Well, technically this is more like writing letters to Santa. The voting is like Christmas shopping, and the actual Viewers’ Choice Month is like Christmas…

      Me being pedantic again. *grin*

  6. My three movies for you two are

    Forbidden planet
    Ice pirates
    GWAR phallice in wonderland

Give phallice in wonderland a chance. It’s wierd and over the top.
    Thanks guys

  7. Since Jen so graciously got the ball rolling at the beginning of the month by nominating films that I also would nominate, I have opted not to add to the pool in an effort to avoid diffusing the selections unnecessarily. And so the stage is set, and I am looking forward for voting to begin. This will be delightful.
